Mission and Scope

The Japan Pharmacists Education Center (JPEC) is a foundation established in 1989 with the approval of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 1989. Its purpose is to contribute to the continued provision of health services throughout the nation by supporting and promoting the continuing education of pharmacists, in accordance with the growing needs and demands for skilled pharmacists capable of providing exemplary pharmaceutical care.

 

Based on the "Public Interest Incorporated Foundation System Reform Law" enacted on December 1, 2008, the Foundation was authorized by the Prime Minister to become a public interest incorporated foundation, and became a public interest incorporated foundation on April 1, 2012.
